The vintage original Singer Adjustable Cording and Zipper Foot Attachment is especially designed for stitching on zipper tapes and other edgings. This early style has a wider foot base.
This foot has a notch in both sides of the toe and may also be used as either a right or left cording foot by loosening the thumb screw and moving toe to the right or left, as required.

LOW SHANK (ONLY): This attachment fits the Singer Featherweight 221, 222K and all low, vertical shank Singer Sewing Machines (i.e. 15, 27, 28, 66, 99, 185, 127, 128, 192 Spartan, 201, 206, 221, 222, 237, 306, 319, 320, 328, as well as many other brands besides Singer).
